Hi again!
One month since the last blog post… Sorry about that!
I began school last Monday, and due to that I have had a very lot to do. So the game has to be delayed to tomorrow. Pardon me. But anyway, school is great. Everybody is extremely nice and friendly and I love the atmosphere. The first course is learning the Unreal Engine. I am struggling a lot with the blueprints, a visual scripting system. It has made me quite stressed, but luckily I met a senior student who was in the same situation when he began last year. He told me to not worry at all, as he had zero experience of the engines when starting his studies, and that everything came in place for him about half a year later. It really felt encouraging and I was amazed by how friendly the guy was.
Here are a couple of photos of the school. They are partly taking place in this building and an ugly annex I don’t care for. I love the architecture. It is so grand, decorated and beautiful. It would fit perfectly in a steampunk game! The building was built in the mid-1800s as a brewery and remained as one for about a hundred years. Today, it hosts the school, a non-IKEA furniture company and about 500 other companies.
About the project. I have done a lot actually. A cutscene, which will have an additional variation, is done. A few enemies are also finished. Last but not least, the logo for my future company is also made, with the help of friend. I’ll show the logo and introduce the friend later. He is really awesome and we did a great collaboration on the logo. I’m sure you’ll like it.
Take care!
